The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall condition commensurate with age and gentle use. The glass shade presents with an octagonal base that slightly tapers before forming to a bulbous sphere at the top. The shade, while unlit, presents with tones of beige, decorated with a pulled feather pattern in gold and olive green lines, with an overall subtly iridized surface. When illuminated, the shade presents with tones of pale yellow and thin lines of fuchsia. The glass with minute inclusions, surface irregularities, and scattered air bubbles inherent in the making. The glass with light surface scratches, very minor wear concentrated to the edges, and minute edge chips along the top rim (largest 1⁄8 in.) not visible when set in place. The base presents with a stained wooden stand bordered by a gilt bronze plate in a variation of the meander pattern. The wood with edge chips and minor wear concentrated to the high points and where the shade rests. The bronze with light scratches, minor wear, and dirt to the recessed areas. The socket appears to be original. The heat cap appears to be original with light surface scratches and very minor wear.
