‌Four bright examples from Johann Bayer's 1603 star atlas. Uranometria introduced the convention of labelling stars by Greek and Latin letters,known as Bayer designations, which is still in use today.

‌Hand-colored copper-plate engravings, 279 x 381mm (sight), with stars heightened in gold.
