The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The coverlet is well pieced together overall. Possibly a join of two panels, however very pieced as already noted. There is fraying to the silver and gold metallic threads throughout, with some areas showing ground salmon silk. Light soiling and discoloration in areas.
