The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The velvet ground is very worn and rubbed in areas, particular to the borders and to the crease lines. Small patch repairs to the ground. Fraying and loose threads to the silk and silver metallic yarns. The waxed cotton lining with tears, hole and losses throughout. The edges are fraying.
