The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The silk ground is very worn and shattered with only elements remaining. The linen backing is very visible. The silk floss with a few areas of loose threads and fraying, more apparent wear to the corners. Losses to the metallic threads throughout. The edges with discoloration and soiling from use. The blue silk lining is shattered in areas and with large water marks.
