The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

As stated, the base is later and the legs are now slightly loose and recommend securing. Some of the legs with glue residue at joins. Overall with nicks, marks and scratches. The top is distressed, now with scattered age and construction cracks. With some evidence of old, now inactive woodworm to the reverse. The reverse with signs of an earlier base, and with some infilled patches along the upper edge. The surface of the top with cracks to the wood, scattered craquelure and cracking to the decoration. The decoration with some rubbing, losses and inpainting, overall with some surface dirt. The lacca povera with some losses, small tears and some later inserted areas. The gilding refreshed throughout. Sound condition.
