The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

With a well-maintained appearance, structurally sound and ready to place. Typical minor overall marks, nicks and scratches as well as tiny losses and repairs to timber as can only be expected with age. Some blacking to the carving and minor variations between the two. Upholstery a bit fragile with fraying and losses throughout though the design intact and the backs sunfaded.

Chair A with repair to the base of the right arm and to the underside of the scrolled terminal. The top of the left arm reattached and with a faintly visible doweled reinforcement. Top of the seatrail with some cracks and replaced sections, Front left leg bracket replaced and front right bracket replaced. Both front legs with some faint scattered inactive woodworm. Back left leg with spliced repairs.

Chair B with a doweled repair to the top of the right arm terminal and to the bottom of the support. Replacements to top and back corners of back rail and front rail replaced. Three later brackets. Back slightly loose.
