The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

Overall with a few minor abrasions, some discoloration and rubbing as expected with age. The gros point ground in good condition; the petit point areas with some snagging and fraying. Losses to the metallic-wrapped thread revealing base-thread beneath. The metallic passementerie with tarnishing/discoloration and unattached in some areas. The backing silk heavily worn with all over tears, abrasions and fraying.
