The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Ready to place. With typical light scattered marks, faint scratches and some small nicks. The example with the pointy hat lacking hair from the reverse of the head; may now be lacking element to the hat as there is a plugged hole. The bottom of the drawer with ink and illegible pencil inscriptions, and inside the drawer well. The one with the round hat lacking hair to the reverse of head; approximately 1/3 of the hat is reveneered. The inlay on both examples with some losses, patches, later inserted sections, with some small chipped losses and associated infill. Overall with some surface dirt. The brass mounts with some rubbing and tarnish. The painted faces possibly refreshed, now with rubbing, losses and fine craqulure. The figure who's head moves front to back not functioning properly.
