The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good restored condition overall and ready to use. Overall with minor inevitable surface scratches, marks, knocks, abrasions and wear, consistent with age and handling. Shrinkage splits visible along the sectional lines of the bodies. The metal tarnished and discolored in places, and with some polish deposits. The lacquer to the handles more worn through use. ‌Both buckets lacking liners and with a later greenish-black wash. Bucket A with one slightly loose section but secure. Bucket B with two paler staves where handles mounted; possibly replaced.
