The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Structurally sound and ready to place. With minor overall rubbing, chips and losses to the japanning as to be expected with age. Some scattered rubbing, surface scratching, denting and losses to gilt metal mounts a bit more so to the base. The japanned panel to the top rubbed and the figures with heavy cracquelure and largely lacking definition. The cream ground a bit dirty and with areas of rubbing. There are faint outlines of further decoration and an old well restored break to the front right corner. The doors with scattered losses and rubbing, a bit more so to the edges.
