The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The ribbons are joined in a sequential pattern, bordered with complimentary voided velvet. One group of 3 ribbons is currently separate from the larger coverlet -- the edged border still in tact. There is soiling to the ribbons throughout. Some wear to the velvet, particular to the edged border. There are some areas of water marks, most evident with darker blacks peeking, part of the bleeding of pigments most likely.
