Map of the city and environs of Delft with original hand-color and highlighted in gold. This is the key map to the atlas of detailed maps published in 1712; it shows the intricate patterns of dikes and canals across the polder surrounding Delft.

Hand-colored and engraved map, 506 x 600mm (sight size). The title lettered in gold across the top surrounding the Delfland coat of arms supported by two allegorical figures, on the sides are a compass rose, the North Sea with several ships, and pastoral scenes below. The left and right side are flanked by ten coats-of-arms of city officials, all highlighted in gold and/or silver. Linen-matted and framed.
