The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The Spitalfields textile pieces with scattered spot staining, rubbing to the silk embroidery threads and some areas with minor shattering to the silk ground, including one tear approximately 1/2 in. long. The later printed cotton backing with some minor discoloration.
