The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The hanging with a pieced quadrant, and a few small tears scattered to the field. There is a repair to a long tear (approx. 2 in. long) and two short parallel repairs (approx. 3/4 in. the longest). Tiny scattered areas of light soiling.

The printed cotton lining is pieced, with scattered areas of light soiling and discoloration.
