The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The chapan with brilliant and bright metallic threads. Rubbing and wear to the reddish-orange silk where color differentiation is notable. There is small areas of soiling and discoloration. Fraying to the sleeves, shoulder and long the creaselines as to be expected. The interior Russian cotton lining with minor soiling. Overall a beautiful example.
