The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is executed on artist's board and is stable on its support. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. There is minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges and associated small losses. There are overall scattered minor losses, primarily to the light blue pigments in the sky and water. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals minor touch-ups to the edges to address the aforementioned frame abrasion. The work can be hung in its present state and is offered with a giltwood frame.
