The work is executed on artist's board. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. There is minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges and small associated losses. There are scattered areas of small pigment losses, including an area of the far river bank at center right. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some scattered very tiny touch-ups. The work can be hung in its present state and is offered with a giltwood frame. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
