The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The raspberry felt ground with scattered soiling and staining, particuarly to the central square which features a dark ring approximately 4³⁄₄ in. diameter. The embroidered panels with scattered staining and rubbing/fraying to the embroidery floss, more visible in some areas; certain pigments are faded, possibly from sun exposure; and scattered patch repairs. The raspberry silk lining with uneven fading and large tears, particularly at the corners, the largest approximately 9¹⁄₂ in. long, the edges fraying. The silk fringe with considerable fraying and losses, particularly to the red silk braids where it meets the felt ground; partially degrading.
