The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The plates- Present well; most in good condition; some light wear; some small spots of rubbing to the gilding; a few tiny chips to the underside of the rims; one plate with a different central device (a wreath is going around the rose at the center, rather than a blue beaded band), this same plate also with a short (1 in.) fine hairline to the rim; one plate with some rim restoration and a few hairlines to the rim; three other plates with a small rim restoration and additional overpaint to the reverse; one plate with a long scratch to the underside of the rim.
The cups and saucers- In generally very good condition; negligible wear; two cups with a hairline running from the rim down its side, one of these with an associated restored chip.
