With a clean, complete appearance, structurally sound and ready to use. As stated in the cataloguing, the decoration is later with some evidence of earlier gilding. With scattered age and construction cracks, and overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The rails with evidence of previous woodworm, now inactive; each rail with later reinforcement and metal support brackets at the outer corners; a wood triangular support bracket between the front rail and the medial strut. The feet probably tipped beneath the polychrome decoration. The rails constructed in walnut, the original central cross-strut is in ash. There is an old repaired break to left rear back leg. The upholstery with minor marks, faint discoloration and overall signs of wear, as to be expected from use. Overall presenting well, ready to place.
