    Lagos-born photographer Stephen Tayo captures vibrant portraits of fashion, rock, and LGBTQ+ subcultures in Nigeria and creates images that explore and celebrate his heritage by extracting arresting compositions from the everyday. His work has been featured in the Aperture text The New Black Vanguard: Photography between Art and Fashion by Antwuan Sargant, a collection of images by an international community of Black photographers that seeks to break down the hyper inclusive barriers of fashion and art photography.
