The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The jardinière is in fairly good condition overall. Surface scratches, marks, knocks, abrasions and wear to the exterior surfaces overall, consistent with age and use. As is visible in the photographs, there is extensive verdigris to the interior, as well as to the exterior in areas. The surface has dulled and there is no longer a high shine to the patina. Some rubbing and wear to the gilding, particularly to the high points. Some minor paint marks evident. The interior dusty and would benefit from a light clean.
