The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Various knocks, scuffs, marks, scratches, dents and abrasions consistent with age and use. Structurally stable. As catalogued, the table has been made up using various old 17th century elements and some later elements, probably in the late 19th century.
The top - with a large central water ring mark. Additionally with other marks and stains and some splits along the natural fissures of the timber which have been wax filled and coloured. The side rails of the frieze are different from one another - one is moulded like the back rail. The rest of the table with the usual condition issues - some minor splits, wear to the stretchers, minor evidence of old apparently inactive woodworm, and the back feet each built up slightly. Overall in good furnishing condition.
