As catalogued, the mirror appears to be adapted from a picture frame and probably reduced in size as evidenced by cuts to the frame and the construction on the reverse. As catalogued - losses to the carved aspects of the decoration including several flowerheads. The mirror has been re-gilt, and there are chips, losses and areas of rubbing and wear to the gilding. The corner areas below the flowerheads with some signs of sanding beneath the present decoration. The central upper foliate spray of the cresting detatched but present and showing in the illustration.
