The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Various knocks, scuffs, marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age.
Structurally stable.
The red-painted and parcel-gilt decoration with some fading, rubbing, wear and minor losses. In some parts the decoration has been refreshed/retouched.
Some evidence of old, apparently inactive woodworm and associated damage to the carcass, particularly to the feet. The seat previously with a red damask cover which is torn/with losses. A later squab has been added.
Overall in otherwise good decorative condition.
