The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

As can be typical for this type and age of folding screen, the silk brocade mounts and the backing paper are later restored. The hinges have been restored with later paper on the reverse.
There is typical old wear to the paper and pigments - especially around the hinges, with some small restorations and associated re-touching, however the painting and paper overall is quite clean and in relatively good condition overall for its age. The lacquered frame has some old wear consistent with age and use.
