Lot Essay

was founded by Jean-Louis Barrault and his wife Madeleine Renaud in 1947. Yves Saint Laurent was commissioned to create two series of costumes for at the Théâtre de l’Odéon. The first was for (The Marriage of Figaro) by Pierre Beaumarchais and the second for (You Must Pass Through the Clouds) by François Billetdoux, which were both directed by Jean-Louis Barrault.
