The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Cup:
A very small surface chip inside the cup (possibly a firing fault).
A circular paper with the handwritten inscription '664' under the base.
Cover:
Three small chips to the inner rim.
A small chip to the sim.
A rectangular paper with the handwritten inscription '664' inside the cover.
Saucer:
A small shallow nick under the foot ring.
A circular paper label reading 'R.H.R.P. / 664' under the base.
All:
Some flakes to the enamels, especially to the cup.
Some wear to the gilding.
Some scattered areas of wear to the enamels.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
