The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The bowl has been broken into four pieces and restuck with associated restoration, overspraying and touch-ups.
There are a few other restorations, including two restored chips with associated approx. 8 cm and 9 cm long hairlines.
There is a short and fine firing crack to the foot rim, foot rim has been polished.
Some areas of extensive wear to the enamels.

- a circular paper label reading 'The Palmer Family Collection - Online I / CHRISTIE'S HK / S 23835 / Lot 1506 / Autumn 2024'
- a rectangular paper label with the handwritten inscription 'Finest Quality bowl, Ming / period enamelled in / brilliant colours'
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
