We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Cover:
The finial and two corners broken and restored with associated touch-ups and overspraying.
A rectangular paper label reading '(X)186' inside the cover.
Teapot:
An approx. 2 cm. horizontal hairline and an approx. 4.5 cm. long horizontal hairline to the body.
An underglaze nick inside the mouth rim.
A firing crack under the base.
A rectangular paper label reading '(X)186' and a rectangular paper label reading 'CHINESE PORCELAIN / of the Ming period.' under the base.
General age-related surface wear, scratches and minute firing faults as can be expected.
