The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
famille verte cup:
An approx. 1.5 cm. long vertical hairline crack going down from the mouth rim.
A flat nick and a small shallow chip to the mouth rim.
Three firing faults inside the cup.
A circular paper label reading 'R.H.R.P. / 523' inside the cup.
famille verte and doucai bird feeder:
Some areas of restoration with associated overspraying and touch-ups to the edges.
A small chip to an edge near the mouth rim, a few nicks to the mouth rim.
Some fritting to the rims and edges.
Two short underglaze cracks.
Two labels inside:
- a circular paper label reading 'R.H.R.P. / 512'
- a circular paper label reading 'JE TROUVE BIEN / G W N'
famille rose miniature vase:
Good overall condition.
A rectangular paper label with the handwritten inscription 'X223' under the base.
All pieces with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
