We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Some age cracks to the enamels.
Some nicks / small losses to the enamels (including a larger one) along the rims inside the box.
A small knock to a chilong medallion with associated cracks.
Some areas of wear to the enamels, especially extensive wear under the base.
A small area of restoration to the gilt-metal mount.
Two labels to the base:
- a circular paper label with the handwritten inscription '17'
-a rectangular paper label reading '?8'.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
