The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Vase 1:
A very small flat chip and a nick to the mouth rim.
A small shallow chip and a shallow nick under the foot ring.
Vase 2:
Some glaze gaps and areas of extensive wear at the junction between the mouth and the shoulder.
A few frits to the mouth rim.
A few shallow nicks under the foot ring.
Both vases:
Some minute pin-size glaze gaps and firing spots.
Some fritting to the mouth rim.
A rectangular paper label reading 'X 159' to the base.
General age-related surface wear, scratches and firing faults/spots as can be expected.
