The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
cups:
One cup with a glaze burst bubble on the mouth rim, and a short firing crack (associated with a firing fault) under the base to the junction with the foot.
The other cup with a nick, a very minute firing crack and a shallow nick to the foot rim.
Both with a circular paper label with the handwritten inscription '93' under the base.
saucers:
One saucer with a very small shallow chip to the glaze on the mouth rim and three burst bubbles / frits to the mouth rim.
Both with a circular paper label with the handwritten inscription '93' and a rectangular paper label with the handwritten inscription 'O du Sartel / Collection' on the base.
A few areas of wear to the enamels.
General age-related surface wear, scratches and minor firing faults as can be expected.
