The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There are three very small chips/nicks to the raised decoration (two on the deer and one on a figure on the other side) and a few nicks the mouth rims (mainly on the inner mouth rim).
- There are natural inclusions and flaw lines within the stone.
- The spoon is missing ; the jadeite stopper is possibly reglued to the roundel.
Otherwise, the snuff bottle is in overall good condition with some slight age-related surface wear as can be expected.
