The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The huqqa base:
- There is a small restored chip to the mouth rim with an associated 3 cm. long vertical hairline crack going down from the mouth rim with associated overspraying.
- There is a restored 1.6 cm. long vertical hairline crack going down from the mouth rim with associated overspraying.
- There is a small restored chip to the mouth rim with associated overspraying (the upper section is entirely oversprayed).
- There is a flat chip to the inside of the foot rim.
The ginger jar:
- There are a few minuscule nicks / bubble gaps to the cover's rim.
- There some horizontal deep abrasions on the body, mainly on one reserve.
- Otherwise, the jar is in good overall condition.
