The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
There are some minor dings to the surface scattered overall, such as on the proper right knee and along the surface of the reverse. There is a small hole on the proper front right side of the bottom band of the base. There is some previous loss to the proper right corner of the band of lotus petals, and potentially some previous loss and/or corrosion to the proper right corner of the garment behind the ankle and to the tip of appendage on proper left side of hair. The tip of the sword and appendage on proper right side of hair were possibly previously bent. There is some light corrosion and areas of encrustation especially in the recessed areas and on the verso. There are very few and faint traces of polychrome on the face and hair.
