The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Six holes are cast in the base (originally to fix the figure on a base).
- Two holes were originally cast above the shoulders to welcome ornaments that are now missing.
- Two ornaments of the crown are missing.
- The three remaining 'flame' ornaments with a crack at their base.
- The inlays are missing.
- The urna is silver-inlaid.
- A section of the scarf is missing near the proper left arm.
- There are a few small dents to the edges and rims.
- There are a few traces of gilding.
- There are some casting/firing faults and cracks.
There are general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
