The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is an approx. 32 cm. long hairline crack starting from the rim and going into the well, which has been consolidated with old staples on the reverse, some associated small losses along the crack.
- There are two vertical hairline cracks starting from the rim, measuring approx. 13 cm. long and 15 cm. long.
- Each hairline crack is associated with a small loss on the protruding ring of the rim.
- There are some surface scratches / abrasions.
- There is little wear to the enamels.
- Some firing spots and small firing faults.
