The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired their initial manufacture.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected
The 'terrasse scene' plate:
- A few restored nicks to the mouth rim
- Wear to the enamels
-a few polished chips to the foot rim
-there is an adhesive to the traces of the kiln lines on the base
The 'fish' plate:
- there are some scattered frits and shallow nicks to the mouth rim
-a few areas of glaze pull to the exterior of the foot
The 'Immortal' plate:
- There are some areas of restoration, and the rim has been oversprayed
- A small flat chip to the rim
- A small loss of enamel
-a few nicks to the foot rim
-the dish is slightly warped
The 'jardinière' dish:
- There is a restored flat chip measuring approx.. 7.5 cm. x 1.5 cm.to the rim with associated overspraying
- There are some nicks/small chips to the foot rims, the largest polished chip measuring approx.. 1.3 cm. long
-Two old paper labels to the base, one reading “Kang Hsi”, the other reading “P407”
