The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Some inlays are missing, a few possibly replaced.
- The center inlaid horizontal plaque possibly later added.
- Some traces of green oxidation.
- Wear to the gilding.
- Few minute casting cracks / flaws.
- The copper nails most probably replaced.
- Minute surface dents and nicks on the rims and edges.
- General age-related surface wear as can be expected.
