The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The dish:
- Firing faults.
- A few glaze gaps, the main one in the well.
- Some flakes under the base.
- Two small chips to the rims.
- Some areas of abrasion around the mouth rim.
General age-related surface wear and scratches, especially to the protuding areas.
The censer:
- It is slightly warped.
- A few glaze faults, mainly inside.
- There is a painting inscription under the base.
- General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
