We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture. - There is a 4 cm. wide loss of enamel to the inner foot ring, most probably due to a shock. - There are some areas of loss of enamel to several sweetmeat dishes, especially on their reverse. - There are some scattered small losses of enamel. - There is a star-crack inside the cover. - There are some crackles and thin cracks to the enamels. - There are some small nicks to the edges and rims. - There is little wear to the gilding, possibly associated with re-gilt areas. - The center sweetmeat dish is warped. - There are some surface scratches. General age-related surface wear as can be expected.
