The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
One ewer:
The protruding section of the cover at mount level broken and restored.
The other ewer:
The protruding section of the cover missing.
A firing crack to the base, a crack to the foot rim associated with a small chip, a very short crack to the foot rim.
A flat chip to the glaze on the lower end of the handle.
A flat chip under the foot rim.
Some firing faults and minute burst bubbles.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
