The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
- One stand with a long restored T-shaped crack in the well with associated overspraying.
- The other stand a few restored small chips/nicks to the rim.
- Both stand with some nicks to the rim, one stand with a small flat chip to the rim.
- One tureen with an approx. 7 cm. long hairline crack near a handle, with little fritting to the handles' rims, a few flakes.
- The other tureen with two nicks touched-up to a handle's rim.
- One cover with a flat chip to the inner rim and a small chip to the finial.
- The other cover with little fritting under the finial and a small chip to the inner rim.
- Some kiln grit adhesions.
- General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
