We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both vases have scratches and surface wear in keeping with their age. Both have rubbing to the European gilt mounts.
The mounts are fixed to the vase. The mounts have some verdigris. One cover is fixed to the vase and the other is removable.
One vase: scattered tiny flakes to the yellow glaze and some wear, the largest flake measuring max. approx. 1.5cm x 0.3cm.
An irregular band of restoration with associated overpainting and overspraying to a section of the vase, visible under UV light and measuring max. approx. 10cm x 2 cm.
One cover: hairline is visible to the underside of the cover measuring max. approx. 3cm long with associated overspraying and overpainting to the exterior of the cover measuring 6cm x 2cm.
< br> Second vase: two sections of the vase have been restored with overpainting and overspraying visible under UV light, the sections measuring max. approx. 7 cm x 13 cm and 5cm x 9cm.
Second cover: tiny losses of yellow glaze particular to edges of the cover and tiny scattered glaze flakes.
