The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The deep dish with incided lotus decoration (Diam. 34 cm) :
- There are minute firing flaws.
- There are few bruises.
- There are flakes to the foot rim.
The lobed dish with chrysanthemums (Diam. 31.7 cm) :
- There are some scratches.
- There are some firing flaws.
- There are some kiln grits.
The dish with a molded lotus decoration (Diam. 32 cm) :
- There are some firing flaws.
- There are several scratches.
- Otherwise, it is in good condition.
The dish with incised scrolls decoration (Diam. 32.2 cm) :
- The glaze is mat, typical of the cargo ware.
- There are few firing flaws.
The celadon-glazed lobbed bowl (Diam. 16,2 cm) :
- There are a few hairline cracks.
- There are firing flaws.
- There are some surface scratches.
The three largest dishes (Diam. : 44.5 cm, 47.5 cm and 48 cm) :
- There are some scratches.
- There are some firing flaws.
All the dishes are a little warped, with some general age-related wear as can be expected.
