The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There are two small shocks (one on the body and one on the cover), and a few minute losses of enamels, some filled-in.
- There is some pitting, some of which filled-in.
- There are some minute nicks to the rims and edges.
- There is some wear to the gilding.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
