A SMALL RYUKYU MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID BLACK LACQUER CABINET
JAPAN, 19TH CENTURY
The cabinet is embellished to the top, sides and back with flowering branches, bamboo, trees and birds. The front is formed with a central drawer to the lower section, below a hinged panel inset with a landscape scene on a geometric ground, opening to reveal six small draws.
